State Championship
April 9-10 is the State Championship for Jr. High and High School sponsored by the Minnesota State Chess Association. Set aside those dates.

Jr. High Chess League
Heritage will be competing in the Twin Cities Division of the Junior High Chess League.
Matches are on Saturday mornings 8:30 - 1:00 at Seward Montessori in Minneapolis. The school is paying all fees. Transportation will be provided by parents and coaches.
The schedule has not been finalized yet, but it looks like you need to reserve the following dates plus maybe one other which has not yet been named:
Feb 12
Mar 5
Mar 19 (Playoffs, if we qualify)
Teams that are in the league are:
Sanford
Capitol Hill A
Capitol Hill B
Lake Harriet
Nellie Stone
Seward
Washington Tech
Heritage
Northeast ??
The following have been named to the team based on a mathematical analysis of SCA tournaments over the past several years. These are SCA ratings which tend to run about 300 points lower than USCF ratings.
Board 1: Brock Morris 798
Board 2: Gabriel Fromm 621
Board 3: Corey Klooz 553
Board 4: Eric Santo 516
Board 5: Dominick Strong 515
We will also have alternates assigned in case one of our top 5 boards can't make it. Alternates will play board 5 and other players will move up a board to fill in the vacancy.
